Dr David GurevichUniversity of Bath

David is a Sir Henry Dale research fellow based in Bath University: he works on wound healing and how it goes awry in disease contexts such as diabetes, in particular focusing on the interface between inflammation and angiogenesis. He uses zebrafish as his primary model to discover key genes/pathways and visualise the important cell interactions underlying tissue repair, and human co-culture models to validate these findings. Zebrafish are a fantastic platform to test and visualise biomaterial interactions with tissues in vivo, and he especially welcomes any opportunity to collaborate with material scientists and engineers in this direction.
