Professor Pablo LamataKings College London

Dr Pablo Lamata is a Professor in Biomedical Engineering and a Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellow at King’s College of London. His vision is a cardiovascular healthcare informed by the digital twin of the patient, a computational replica built with a combination of medical images and data. His team has developed technologies for the identification of faulty valves, for the detection of growth differences caused by pre-term birth, or for the optimal patient selection for ablation or resynchronization therapies, among others. He coordinates the EU consortium “Personalised In-Silico Cardiology”  that develops modelling methodologies to optimize clinical protocols, from data acquisition to device parameters and intervention choices.
